Mascot Book Review

This book was so cute it was like cuddling a big teddy bear it was such a sweet middle grade I feel John really put his heart into writing Noah and his friends they’re some parts I would recommend this for 13+ readers because it might be inappropriate for some younger readers to read but I loved this book a lot I can’t wait to read his second book one think that captured me more reading the mascot was Noah is an only child make me assume maybe the author himself was an only child I love reading about only child characters because I relate to their pain and struggles also this book focusing on disability I had moments were I was cheering and feeling emotional for Noah throughout the book it’s a five stars from me John didn’t disappoint at all! xo SeekingBookWorm

Forget Me Not Book Review

We follow a single mother called Amanda and her eight year old son Kevin and they travel to live with Amanda parents until they find somewhere they call home once they end up living with them things start to go wrong  for Amanda she keeps getting stalked and followed by someone she doesn't know and they nearly tried to kill her and almost her son Kevin was suspected to die which makes things more serious. I don't know why this book had low reviews on goodreads because I thought that it was good and I didn't want it to end what made me love it more that there was a dog in this book too so it was heart breaking when the stalker tried to seal the dog and everything but I was glad she was found the dog I mean at the end then later the same person tried to kill her son Kevin I mean Amanda's son, I loved this book so much that I didn't want it to end I wanted more I can't wait to read the second book in the series it was so good that I wanted more. xo SeekingBookWor

Everything Moment With You Book Review

we follow Amberlee and Justin from the first book "One Whole Night With You" after Amberlee breaks up with Oliver and started dating her best friend Justin and in the second book you see their relationship for each other grow more than the first book and Justin ends up hurt in a accident that changes Amberlee life forever. This  is a novella feels more like a friends to lovers and I find it hard giving my deep thoughts on this book because Jessica is one of my good friends on bookstagram but I do enjoy her new adult novella series these books are good if you're a busy person or you don't have time to devote into a long lengthy novel because its quick and easy plus it doesn't take too much time I always devote into these books in one sitting because they're not very long reads. xo SeekingBookWorm

Saving Noah Book Review

Wow this book is SO sad I felt like I was reading a memior than a thriller because you feel the emotions for Adrianne Noah mom and how she wanted the best for Noah her son and Noah dad hated him after what Noah did he never had a love for her this book was painfully sad especially when Noah died and I reallt felt sad reading this thriller but it was insightful because I love reading about families and this was capture in a real life way I feel I want to read more of Berry work because she really made me feel for Noah a lot she nailed it with this one I need to pick up another of her books! xo SeekingBookWorm

Boys Don't Cry Book Review

This book moved me into tears it was honestly so beautiful and heart wrenching and I felt happy, sad and anger too for the things the boys went through in this book! We meet seventeen year old Dante Bridgeman who thought he was getting his A Level results so he can go off to university but his ex girlfriend was at the door with a baby called Emma that turns out to be his daughter Dante world turned upside down as he navigates how to be a teenage dad his brother Adam was also struggling due to his sexuality because he is Gay and the whole thing becomes difficult for the two boys and you walk through the battles and struggle seeing them trying to cope with Dante daughter Emma and life! Blackman made me cherish her characters so much she opened such an insight of what boys go through especially black boys in society boys are not meant to cry because you have to man up but this book made me realise boys should be allowed to cry because emotions are vaild this book would be good if you ha

The Amazing Edie Eckhart Book Review

This book was so cute! I loved it so much the illustrations are so adorable! We meet an eleven year old Edie Eckhart who has cerebral palsy and her life is written in diary form so every day and time you get to learn more about her and best friend Oscar Jenkins their relationship was like romeo and juliet but once they started school for the first time it changes everything and people saw Edie a lot different because she has Cerebral Palsy and Edie proved to many that her condition doesn’t really get to her but what made her really think is if she wasn’t disabled what would her life be like which connects to a lot of disabled children and adults male or female!  Rosie wrote this book from her honestly heart about disability and how to accept yourself for being different and the shocking part is that Edie ended up in love with a girl instead of a boy so there’s some LGBT in this middle grade I’m not so bothered about it in middle grade books because I don’t judge anyone choice of love

Just My Luck Book Review

this story we follow a couple called Lexi and Jake and they go off to win the lottery a lot of things change in their lives but when things get tough for them they had no choice but laugh it off but not everyone is happy about the money they have that some are demaning some of the money too... I love this book a lot Parks made me relate a lot to her characters that I felt them like real people because she wrote this in such a way that makes the reader realise that money isn't everything and you won't always get what you wish for which made me love the book even more the characters made me laugh a lot of times and sometimes I felt for them to especially Emily their teenage daughter I wished her and Ridley did make up their differences after everything he done to her I did somewhat feel bad for him but nothing happened much toward the ending in their part but however I really enjoyed this book that I didn't find it cringey at all, I had such a good time reading it. xo Seeki

What Lies Between Us Book Review

I couldn’t stand this book at all so I sadly DNF at 266 pages it was so painfully slow and dragging nothing great happened and I was getting quite bored with the whole book the daughter and mother in this book were both painfully annoying and I didn’t get the concept of this book at all the most strangest and weirdest book I ever read this one a no from me so I’m giving this two stars instead of three! xo SeekingBookWorm

So Lucky Book Review

This book sadly wasn’t for me so I’m giving it three stars I couldn’t stand the writing style of this book it was hard to know who was who and I couldn’t stand Beth and her sec desires to be honest so I started skipping most of her part because I just can’t stand sex talk it triggers me and the only character I liked was Ruby because she was funny and relatable I loved her and the daughter Bonnie and her ex husband Liam no one was likeable in the males apart from him sadly this wasn’t my taste so it unfortunately it going into three stars… xo SeekingBookWorm

As Good As Dead Book Review

Jackson has done it double again WOW! What a ride why I’m giving this finale four stars is the beginning went off to a slow start but when I got to the middle the climax was better than ever we follow Pip our main character who is eighteen and is about to go to university and things are all about her this time we see more darker things in her life that change her world forever and she had to do the most risky things to protect her friends and family from not getting involved in the danger that comes across her and since the characters are older there were more adult themes so beware for swearing and mental illnesses in this book because Pip did go through PTSD there’s also some medicines in this one too so please look up the trigger warnings before diving in and man this book was wild the emotions in this one wasn’t easy to put together but I feel sad that Pip and Ravi came to an end but I thank Ms Jackson for writing them to fangirl about because they’re amazing I do see this trilogy

Chasing The Storm Book Review

Charli is eighteen years old and she's afraid of Storms she an only child to her two parents who didn't have the greatest relationship together so Charli's mum is seeking another guy called Tommy who she spends her time with in the book, the whole thing hurts Charli because she feels that her mother didn't care about her or her dad so basically her mum wanted to go storm chasing so she can amend the relationship between her and Charli... Madden really wrote this book the problem I had was getting into Charli's head in the beginning but once I understood the girl she was I continued reading because characters and the writing style is what keeps the story going for me and Madden voice of writing has been a binge-worth book for me and I couldn't put it down I can't wait to read more of what else she writes... xo SeekingBookWorm

Five Feet Apart Book Review

Five Feet Apart where following two teens called Stella and Will they're both known for  cystic fibrosis and are in hosptial the two beginning to form a romance for each other but because of their condition they have to be a feet apart from each other or one of them will die if they're too close.. This book was very emotional and sad that it pulls a lot of feels and heartbreaking momments that you want to know if everything for Will and Stella would be okay for someone who never read about two characters going through cystic fibrosis it was an eye opener what I found sad about this book someone I knew from school in my teenage sadly passed away due to the condition so it was quite hard reading it but I enjoyed every moment of it.. xo SeekingBookWorm

Asking For A Friend Book Review

We Follow three sixteen year old Friends Anges, Hattie and Jake they decide to go away to Weston for a Study break but they're all hiding lies about eachother when they arrive at the trip while getting closer they start to reveal their secrets and that makes their friendship grow and change throughout the book and everything forms into a true friendship. I love Kate Mallinder because she knows how to write friendships and joyfulness in her novels after reading "Summer of No Regrets" I wanted to give her second book a go and she has done it again for me this time, I loved this book so much it was such a happy read that I couldn't put it down, the story gripped me from the beginning to the end, her characters felt like people I knew in real life because I kept thinking about them and also Jake being an only child touched me because I am an only child myself like Jake and he made me realise how great it was sometimes not to have a sibling and the times you wished you h

Talking To Alaska Book Review

OMG this book was so GOOD! I loved it so much the story is based on two kids called Sven and Parker we learn them not having the greatest terms with eachother at their first day of a new school and Sven is known for having epilepsy and he goes through the ups and down of his disability, which makes him have Alaska Parker gave her up years ago, since she was a puppy and Parker then realise her dog was now with Sven and Parker wanted to steal Alaska back but things weren’t easy as Parker thought it would be but she was a girl who loved her dog as Alaska at the time… I enjoyed this book so much Woltz wrote a middle grade that explores the world of a boy like Sven going through epilepsy and he can be a role model to those who are in his shoes and Parker in the end being there for him was the nicest thing, the only part I didn’t like was the stealing that came into Parker’s mind but in the end she saw things differently and realised how great Alaska helps Sven especially when he wants to ha

Blackout Book Review

I LOVED this book OMG! Whooping five stars from me I enjoyed this book so much it was hilarious and fun it was talented to see how all these six YA authors came together to write a story that you didn’t want to put down because you felt so much love it was a book that made me cherish that I’m a black girl because there was so much love in this book that I couldn’t put this book down sadly it was short I didn’t even want to reach the ending because I was enjoying it so much but if this book does have a sequel to it then I’ll definitely pick it up I looooooooooooooooved this one so much! xo SeekingBookworm

My Dark Vanessa Book Review

Vanessa Wye  was fifteen in 2000 when she had an affair with her English Teacher Mr Strange and things develop for her through there and build Wye and Strange Relationship a lot stronger that people realised they might've had more than a friendship... I didn't like this one because it felt like nothing great happened and it also wasn't gripping for me I felt bored reading it and I couldn't stand the amount of sex scenes in the book too and I just felt Vanessa annoyed me at times because maybe her lies and the feelings for Mr Strange became uncomfortable for me to read and watch I wanted to have a good time with it but I couldn't and I didn't like the writing front it felt a bit tiny to read... xo SeekingBookWorm

Eight Pieces Of Silva Book Review

5 stars this book was so good I couldn’t put it down Lawrence knew how to write a good middle grade mystery that hooked me so much from the beginning I loved our main character Becks as aka Rudbeckia and she went through a lot trying to find and save her stepsister Sliva who she thought when missing when she was known to be with a guy called Logan and Becks tries to investegate what happens to her Becks did loose some friends along the way because some thoughts she was being dramatic Becks is known for liking girls so there is an f/f romance in this book and everything else relating to her love and feelings… I loved this book I felt Patrice really brought Becks to life she was relatable and funny one thing I loved how she was known as a Ghanaian and one thing I never saw in YA is an african representation of someone being a Ghanaian I was impressed that Lawrence added some culture references to this book for anyone who feels like Becks and doesn’t feel understood this book did a great

Where The Crawdads Sing Book Review

So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the loved. when two young men from town become intrigued by her wild beauty, Kya opens herself to a new life- until the unthinkable happens... I struggled to love this book because the ending was too long for me and I wanted it to be shorter but Owen knew how to write the realstic characters and the plotline was interesting and well crafted to put them together they're so well put and written so if this book beginning wasn't so slow and dull I would've prefered it more fast pace... xo SeekingBookWorm

All This Time Book Review

We follow two main characters Kyle and Kimberly that thought they're this perfect couple until Kim decides to break up with him on the night toward their graduction and Kyle ends up in a head injury and Kim dies but Kyle struggles seeing his girlfriend Kim around him all the time people kept telling him that she's died and should be kept as that but Kyle's best friend Sam had feelings for Kim so Kyle's mom reveals the feelings that Kim was feeling toward their breaking up making Kyle understand what the whole issue was.. I loved this book a lot it was heartbreaking and emotional the only thing I struggled for with this book that it dragged a lot and it took me a bit of time to get into due to it being confusing at times but once I kept reading on I enjoyed I found the characters adorable reading about what I found interesting about this book was how a teenage boy like Kyle was captured to make the reader explore inside Kyle going through coma and a brain injury there

My Sister, The Serial Killer Book Review

We follow two sisters Korede and Ayoola who was known to kill a guy called Femi this story of the sisters is set in Nigeria and Korede is left trying to be the protect big sister of Ayoola because she loves her little sister so much that she doesn't want the poilce to take things too deeply because she didn't mean to kill Femi the guy who was her boyfriend before she dated an a guy called Tade and the whole thing turns Korede world upstairs down and Korede now has a lot on her hands to take care off... this book was hilarious for sure but the writing felt weak and not put into enough they're times it felt like a murder story than a crime novel I didn't feel this book was a story at all it was more of a poetry sort of novel about the sisters but it jumped a lot than sitting in one sitting and the ending felt like it was rushed than properly planned but because this book had potential by the author I felt it wasn't different or interesting it would've been three s

The Good Girls Book Review

In this story we follow different type of girls who are supsect for the death of a Good Girl called Emma Baines the girls are Gewn, Avery and Claude as the police invesigate more into their case things get complicated and hard for them as they battle with problems in their personal lives which doesn't always match up to the things they expect to happen to them... I didn't love this one as It sound more like one of us is lying and a bit of a good girl's guide to murder the problem I had with this book was I couldn't stand the writing style it felt flat and unbothered to continue on the story, I felt the author was trying to make herself sound interesting, but it wasn't working and the characters didn't feel interesting to me I felt there wasn't anything gripping and hitting within them as there was no character growth within the girls so I was kind of disappointed with this one... xo SeekingBookWorm

When The World Was Ours Book Review

The story follows three friends Max, Leo, Elsa which know eachother from kids they're from Vienna states from 1936 and when the Nazi came it splits their friendship and lives forever making them go through tough challenges and problems that they never thought to be facing... all I can say to this book is WOW! it was such an emotional book that would've made me cry because how Max father treated his friends was very unfair because Elsa and Leo were Jews and he Max isn't so there was a pressure that Max had to face because of his father hating his two best friends even though this was a middle grade Kessler knew how to capture my feelings for reading this one I felt Sad, Angry and scared, somehow shocked for how the grown ups behaved in this book it was also told in a true story so it was powerful and raw and honest for how these children we're facing and batting with feelings they couldn't express to anyone... xo SeekingBookWorm

Last One To Die Book Review

This story follows sixteen year old Niamh Hughes who is Irish and she arrives in London for summer and freedom but things don't turn out that way when she reaches there she feels someone is watching her and scarily they're all looking like her too... I LOVED this book it was so gripping and somehow scary but the horror part didn't scare me too much and I felt to Niamh a lot as a main character because she have been battling with things not being right in her family and her grandma not feeling well I loved Jess the girl who becomes her friend she was someone who was also aware that Tommy the boy Niamh falls in love for wasn't what he seemed which showed the evdience to me at the end that people can pretend to be really sweet but inside them their intentions are more bad and stronger I feel Murphy nailed the head for me with her debut I can't wait to read her new releases because I adored this one so much! xo SeekingBookWorm

Lock The Doors Book Review

this story follows an only child boy called Tom to his mother, who's his mother remarried and he has a stepsister called Nia and a stepbrother called Aaron they all planned to move out of their old home and find a new house to live which they did but Tom starts to find things about the house he didn't agree with and starts to look into it,when a girl arrives at his school called Amy Tom then forms a relationship with her but wasn't liking how her parents are when Tom met them for the first time and the clues and mysteries about this new house still went on for Tom.. Ralph nailed this book for me I loved it more than are you watching? because he knows how to capture the cases and make his characters feel like real people every time you read his work unfold I loved Tom as a character also being an only child myself it was nice seeing that rep being in the story and having step siblings made the story more interesting if Vincent Ralph writes a third book I would surely pick it

Three Hours Book Review

this book follows a school siege that leaves teachers, students trapped in a library and the headmaster is murdered dead that he cannot save them the polices are on the mission to save everyone within three hours before it's too late and the bbc and parents are worried for their children so they have three hours left to save everyone they love... I personally didn't love this book some parts were gripping and sometimes it felt confusing with all the POV and I felt bored because it sort of dragged that you didn't find the story enjoying anymore the hype and standard didn't really hit me with this one so I gave it a four star rating on goodreads, I'm not saying this book was bad it just this one didn't feel the hype and sometimes I didn't care about what went on anymore that I wanted to DNF because I felt bored within the book... xo SeekingBookWorm

Concrete Rose Book Review

We follow a young Maverick in Garden Heights in 90's where he's seventeen years old he was currently getting his life sort of together through his mum working two jobs and his dad in prison Maverick knew he had everything on the control until he finds out he's a father which turned his world upside down because the baby depends more on him since the baby mother Ishea found it stressful to look after him so Maverick had to do everything himself which he found looking after a baby challenging because he never done it before so through time he got use to it then struggles to balance school and work, fatherhood life all together... Thomas has a voice that captures you to read more of her characters especially what I loved about Maverick was the insight you see as a young black teenage boy also known as a dad which was something that doesn't get spoken about also the drugs and gang element of young black boys like him having to leave boyhood in such a young age to enter in

Kill Joy Book Review

Pip Fitz -Amobi is not in the mood for her friends murder mystery party especially one that involves a 1920's fancy dress and pretending their own town Little Kilton, is an Island called Joy. but when the game begins Pip finds herself drawn in the make- believe world of intrigue, deception and murder but as Pip plays detective, teasing out the identity of the killer clue-by-clue, the murder of fictional Reginald Remy isn't the only case on her mind... Jackson has nailed again like always in this prequel you get to see where everything with Pip began before she took the case of Andie Bell and I just love how Holly writes shes knows how to grab you in a addiction of not wanting to put this book down because you want to know what happens next and I loved how Pip our Main character was the female we need in YA books because she's tough and bold also doesn't let anything get into her way if it means taking huge risks shes up for it that's what I love about her and I th

My Life With The Walter Boys Book Review

We follow Jackie who had the perfect life until her parents died in a tragic accident that leaves her with no family so she travels to live with the Walter Boys who are a mother to Katherine known as a stepmother to Jackie living with the boys have been hard for Jackie to adjust to the life maybe for her she might end up finding love... Novak wrote this book in a realistic way dealing with real topics that what made this book enjoying because family loss was mostly the plot of why I took a lot of love for this story because it's something a lot of YA books don't really talk about and it needs to be spoken more and I loved Jackie character she was a girl that you related to many things she felt aswell as someone who haven't lived with a house of boys before I had thoughts how she was going to cope with them and mange the life I loved how Ali wrote the characters it was just those cheesy teen romances that I wished I read in my teenage days because like they say books can be

The Truth About Keeping Secrets Book Review

We follow a teenage girl called Sydney who's father was the only psychiatrist for miles around their small Ohio town. and he is also unexpectedly dead is Sydney crazy or is it kind of weird that her dad - a guy whose entire job revolved around other peoples' secrets- crashed alone, with no expiation and why is June Copeland, homecoming queen and the town's golden child at his funeral as the two girls grew closer in the wake of the accident, it's clear that not everyone is happy about their new friendship but what is picture perfect June hiding? and does Sydney even want to know?.... I didn't love this book as much as thought I didn't enjoy the queer elements because I don't read a lot of these in YA and they're times I felt bored in the book and the story didn't really pick itself until the middle but the characters and the mystery was what kept everything going for me for Brown's first Debut it wasn't not bad but at the same time is just was

After A Wattpad Novel Book Review

we follow two young teens called Tessa aka Thersea and Hardin the bad boy that Tess liked Tess went away to spend her time in college when she met Hardin at first she wasn't a fan being around him later she started following her roommate Steph for parties leaving her boyfriend at home Noah worried for her things start to form for her and Hardin that Tess forget that she got her boyfriend Noah to be around and Hardin doesn't know a lot about Tess so it wasn't something easy for her to overcome by. however I dnf this book around page 81 because it felt too cliche for me and uncomfortable reading about two college students who keep making out and how all the boys were around Tess and I also couldn't stand Tess at times at a character she felt annoying to read about and they're times I felt like, "Gosh when will she grow up and stop acting like a baby to everything" anyway I gave this one a two stars because it wasn't my cup of tea sadly... xo SeekingBookW

I didn't really feel for this book in the beginning it felt flat for me and they're times the characters did started to annoy me a bit but the more I kept reading on then I started to enjoy it more along with the characters I also discovered the big plot twist in the end what I didn't like mostly was the third POV which means Point of view of a third character because I don't read books in third person this was quite a struggle for me which I reached the part of Allison I didn't feel a lot of connection to her part so I skim through it and follow the story siblings trying to make sense of this lies and secrets but in t

The Thursday Murder Club Book Review

"In a peaceful Retirement Village, four unlikely friends meet up once a week to investigate unsolved murders." Elizabeth, Joyce, Ibrahim and Ron are four friends who meet up once a week which makes them call themselves The Thursday Murder Club to solve the murder of this man called Tony who died when he was a young boy the four friends them look more into the murder to find out more as the mystery gets closer toward them wanting to find who was the real suspect of the case and murder overall. i gave this one a four stars because I had some little problems reading with this one because Osman really wrote the story because it was so long and they're times I was confused which character was who because they're too many but however I did have high exceptions, but I wished they were a bit mild than high because it didn't need that strong deserved hype as I thought it did. xo SeekingBookWorm

Don't Ask Me Where I'm From Book Review

However we follow fifteen year old Liliana who a Latinx girl trying to make sense of life without her father due to some mystery things that happened to him that couldn’t be revealed as Liliana moves into another school called the METCO the kids start to make rude remarks about her because she was different than her white peers she was with them she developed a lot for a white boy called Dustin Walker who played two faced about not dating another girl and acting as a decent boy because Liliana was different that gave his friend Steve the chance to be rude about who she was and everything Liliana then got sick of everyone making her feel so different so she spoke out, “I’m tired of people asking me where I’m from!” Which was relatable to someone who isn’t white and is tired of being treated differently because of their colour and race De Leon wrote not only a character who was fighting for the best of her family but had a real voice with humour that will make readers cheer and cry for L
