The Nicest Girl Book Review

I finished this in one sitting and it was very raw and relatable story I’ve ever heard in a young adult I’m thankful for Jo for gifting me her wonderful debut because it really does make you feel a lot of things about being nice and everything in reality… The story takes place on a sixth former called Anna Campbell who’s known for being too nice Anna struggles with being nice because she’s generally a nice person which makes people take advantage of her that when she welcomes a new boy called Ryan into her friendship group in the end Ryan was mad because he sort of had feelings for her but Anna didn’t have that for him but after she spends time babysitting for a mother and her two sons Anna falls for the oldest boy Ben while she babysits his little brother Charlie I loved the relationship between Anna and Ben you can feel the love they had for each other I hope Sophie gets to expand more in the nicest girl characters in the next book for a debut I really adored this book so much I co

The Midnight Game Book Review

This book comes out the 5th of Jan 2023 (gifted by the author) This book is set around a school where six teens they never met go and meet on a form called Deddit and they decided to meet in real life which is followed by a game that everyone is dying to play but the thing is when you play this game you must finish it because there no way out or escape to end everything so can these six players battle their way out without any problems...? I'm nearly done with this book and Murphy has done it  again she never disappoints me everytime she writes I even loved this one more than the other books because you saw these characters battling through how to get out of this game and I also love the diabetic rep that Murphy added for Ellie because you don't see these type of issues in books so I think it's important that these reps are in books to make someone feel less alone, I can't wait to read the other books she writes next! xo SeekingBookWorm

The Fountains of Silence Book Review

This book felt like a movie WOW! How Sepetys captures her characters in this interesting historical setting story with power and pain with the reader feeling deeply emotions for these characters who are struggling. Set in 1957 in Madrid of Spain we meet eighteen year old Daniel whos family were in Texas America and went to Madrid around the civil ward going on and he captured what goes on around him he ends up falling in love with a girl called Ana who is basically his assistant who helps out his family and hotel room duties. Daniel then forms feelings for her and the two of them begin to get closer within themselves for a love What can I say Sepetys made me feel for her characters which made me sad and angry for what her characters go through for a YA debut of historical fiction I’ll definitely be picking up more of Sepetys work because she knows how to write! xo SeekingBookWorm

Room To Dream Book Review

Awww Mia Tang you’re so adorable honestly Mia is so cute I really loved the third one a lot I was scared it wasn’t going to live up the hype as the other two but it did in this one we learn Mia tries to live her dreams but things go wrong on the way and she makes it up to her friends they all go off to Disneyland some might be confused by this but I wasn’t because I got to know the books were not set in modern day that’s what makes them historical I feel Yang again has done it more than the other two how she talk about important topics always resonate to me because they make the readers understand that these things sadly happen today nothing has changed since this book was set by the 90’s and we still go through these situations today and yang is doing such a good job expressing these in a light and fun hearted way for kids to understand I can’t wait to read Mia and her friends in book four! xo SeekingBookWorm

DNF The Girl In The White Van Book Review

I DNF The Girl in The White Van basically this book focuses on a teenage girl Called Savanah who doesn't get on with her mother new boyfriend Tim but love taking Kung Fu Classes to escape what goes on about her and she gets caught by someone in a white van... Sadly what made me DNF this book Savanah herself as a character felt dull and forgotable for me I almost didn't see anything enjoyable about this book and I feel there's a lot of POV so you can't tell who is who and also I didn't even know that Savanah herself is blind until reading a review from Goodreads, I was disappointed because I wanted to read this one for so long thinking I would love it but it just wasn't for me... xo SeekingBookWorm

You Can Trust Me Book Review

We Meet Fifteen Year Old Alana who attends the biggest party of the year but things don't turn out what she intended to be when she arrives, Alana then finds out her best friend Esme was murdered but they got the wrong girl it should've been her... Alana is left to find out what happened to her best friend she then finds out Marley and her brother Henry were part of Esme death while they both planned to kill Alana herself because they hated how Alana reported them to the poilce and things turn risky from there luckily Xander a boy Alana couldn't stand in the end safed her before it was too late... I loved this book a lot it was intense it felt a lot like a good girl's guide to murder and the One of us books and I had fun reading this I was constantly turning the pages and getting gripped to know what happens next and how Alana would've surived through this whole case. she was going through which made life diffcult for her. at times but I loved how she felt like Pip

Hear Them Scream Book Review

Hear Them Scream is the sequel to Forget Me Not these books are part of Summit Lake series and in this one we follow a woman and her best friend things don't go the way they wanted and the woman's best friend gets killed and things unfold from there... I didn't love this one as much as Forget Me Not maybe because I felt bored while reading it I just felt there wasn't a lot of gripping action going on and I wish we had Amanda and Kevin again for the sequel because I loved them in the first book and I wanted to see Kevin and Amanda instead of different characters but overall it wasn't the greatest.. xo SeekingBookWorm

The Push Book Review

The Push follows a woman called Blythe we follow her life between two timelines the 90's and present day she becomes a mother to her son Sam who sadly dies after being pushed to the road and she has a daugther called Violet which she Blythe realises she's not like other children for the way Violet behaves and things turn her life upside down as she struggles with grief of her baby boy Sam death and everything... I really loved Audrain work it was diffcult at times because I not being a mother myself sometimes I felt for Blythe as if I was in her shoes and how she coped with how her daughter Violet was behaving toward her which makes the reader can't wait to know more through the story because of how interesting the characters were and the writing style really flows with me me I can't wait to see what Audrain write next this might be a debut but I really loved it. xo SeekingBookWorm

The Week At World's End Book Review

This book is set in the war where Stevie (aka Vie) meets a girl called Anna and Vie and her best friend Ray both try to help Anna escape into a better home but things don't turn out the way they wanted to be this is inspired by a true even that happened in 1962 when Russian and America had a war against the Cuban Misslie. this one had a four stars because the beginning was slow for me to read and the story dragged on abit making it diffcult for me to put the elemets of the scenes together so it wasn't the mosted loved book but I did enjoy learning a lot of history that came out of this middle grade but I would advise you to commit some time to read this one since the beginning takes a while to get into. xo SeekingBookWorm

Murphy has done it again with her work since I loved her books and I've been a fan of Last One To Die I can't wait to read what she writes next as always Murphy never disappoints me with her work at all, I also hope to meet her someday because she became one of my favourite authors. xo SeekingBookWorm

You'll Be The Death Of Me Book Review

We meet three used to be friends called Ivy, Mateo and Cal they wanted to skip school just like old times from middle school but things didn't turn out what they wanted to be when they discover a student at their school Carlton High called Boney (Brian Mahoney) has been murdered which changed their world upside down while they seek into knowing what wrong these friends have secrets they hide as they go through Boney case it starts to reveal things about them that makes these three students uncomfortable which makes things a shaky rocky game for them... I really loved this book Mcmanus didn't disappoint me I enjoyed this one more than the cousins I felt there was more action in this book the characters were likable at times I couldn't stand Cal because he was annoying throughout the book but apart from that I really enjoyed the story I can't wait to see what Karen writes next because she has shown the growth in writing from this book. xo SeekingBookworm

Odd One Out Book Review

in this story we follow three black teens with their own story of first love and being a girlfriend or boyfriend everything high school related you found it in this one. however I didn't strongly love this book as hoped it didn't live up to a lot of hype for me maybe because I couldn't stand the characters or the writing style I was a bit disappointed for this one through this was my first nic stone read but it wasn't for me sadly... xo SeekingBookWorm

Five Total Strangers Book Review

this book is set around five different college kids who want to get home for the winter holidays but when a blizzard hits our main character is left feeling very stranded not knowing what to do and she wants to be with her family, Mira went through the ups and downs until she realises the car she ended up in was a pack of strangers she doesn't know so can she get home safetly with a group of unknown faces...? I honestly found this book A WILD RIDE! I mean seriously this book was a crazy journey they're times I felt sick to my stomach reading it because I wanted our main character Mira to be home safe to her mother which struggles with life after the death of her sister which was a lot for Mira to process but Richards knows how to grab you to your seat so buckle up your seat belt while reading this one because its one crazy ride indeed. xo SeekingBookWorm

Front Desk Book Review

this book follows a ten year old girl called Mia Tang who is chinese and she also her parents moved to live in america they don't live in a big house it's a motel they're living in Mia has to take matters into her hands with being the front desk manager to help her parents and save the background she comes from. I loved this middle grade a lot it was so good and Yang made me really connect with the characters and also most of the aspect where based on the authors personal life, when she was a kid so it was interesting seeing her put it into a fictional setting i'm sure many kids would relate and love this story including adults too its quite an insightful read. xo SeekingBookWorm
