Talking To Alaska Book Review

OMG this book was so GOOD! I loved it so much the story is based on two kids called Sven and Parker we learn them not having the greatest terms with eachother at their first day of a new school and Sven is known for having epilepsy and he goes through the ups and down of his disability, which makes him have Alaska Parker gave her up years ago, since she was a puppy and Parker then realise her dog was now with Sven and Parker wanted to steal Alaska back but things weren’t easy as Parker thought it would be but she was a girl who loved her dog as Alaska at the time…

I enjoyed this book so much Woltz wrote a middle grade that explores the world of a boy like Sven going through epilepsy and he can be a role model to those who are in his shoes and Parker in the end being there for him was the nicest thing, the only part I didn’t like was the stealing that came into Parker’s mind but in the end she saw things differently and realised how great Alaska helps Sven especially when he wants to have a seizure and this was the most powerful and emotional story that Woltz have written I can’t wait to read more disability rep in her future books I loved this debut a lot that I have to give it five stars!

I didn't love this book to be honest I felt bored reading it because there wasnt anything interesting a lot apart from the whole twitter drama and I wanted it to be more punchy, I found the writing style to be quite cringe and slow reading and I didn't have any connection for anyone in the book at all maybe apart from Jack I did, I found him to be quite a dorky cutie to read about anyway I ...
