Blood Red Sky Book Review

For fans of Adolescence would love this book man blood red sky wasn’t an easy read this was the most emotional book I’ve ever read and I can’t stomach how some scenes break my heart for Aaron and his siblings Cullen wrote a novel that even though it’s YA and it’s fictional everything felt real like your re living the moment with Aaron in prison trying to cope with what happened and how Chloe his little sister was also going through her own troubles with a boy at school called Ben who was treating her bad because he wanted her to be his girlfriend and this happens a lot in books when a girl doesn’t like them they’ll expose that girl to the entire school when it went to court Ben confessed what he did going through the end Dylan was known to be missing and Aaron had to find him Grant being their dad hasn’t been the greatest figure throughout the book he didn’t want Aaron even to be home when he got released in the end Jack Aaron’s best friend when back to prison for his actions… Th...

Black Girls Don’t Cry Book Review

I'm back with another book review since it's been a long time when I did the last one for Drop Dead Famous and this one is for the author I read last year who wrote the payback girls. This book was good the only problem I had was the beginning I found it quite slow so it took me a while to get into it but when I read on and reached the middle that’s where all the drama took off I kind of wished we had that from point one but anyway we meet Ida Carter who was the girlfriend of JJ and they broke up due to Ida claiming she’s a bi which JJ didn’t love and she got made by Amayah and her friend Simone to be prom queen and she’s known in the BSU when messages start going round Banneker High their school one of the girls called Cassidy ends up dead which creates things and chaos among the students and Ida wanted to find out the reason behind it all which she didn’t find easy… Travis gave this one as always due to me reading her debut The Payback Girls the best justice and premise she ...

The book is about our FMC Stevie Baker who’s the sister of Blair Baker a famous superstar one day Stevie and her parents went to see Blair perform live on stage while she was on stage Blair suddenly died and it became a headline news to the internet and everyone who knew her and Stevie wanted to take on the case to find out what happened to her sister whole grieving for her niece Mia who ended up missing but got revealed she died by Kirk Blair manager and Annie who was Stevie sister in law by her brother Hal killed Blair due to what happened to Mia and Colby who was a super fan of Blair became Stevie’s best friend to help so the two of them went uncover to find out what happened.. Without explaining too much since I don’t want to spoil it for those who haven’t read it MAN this book was UNPUTDOWNABLE and SO GOOOD!!!!! I literally didn’t want to even have a shower because I was so invested in Stevie and Colby they’re the best detective Duo in any good YA teen mystery Ms Pearson made me e...

The Kids Aren't Alright Book Review

I finished this yesterday so I’m back with another book review this one we follow three teens set in 1988 in this reformatory camp for troubled teens their names are Finn, Ronan and Becca we meet others along the way they have to battle a sea monster or things could end up being deadly for them before I ramble on too much about this book let’s quickly head into my thoughts shall we? I was a lover of this book from wattpad and truly had a good time so when I found out the author published I couldn’t wait to give it a read but even though I enjoyed it wasn’t at times like the wattpad level joy and here’s why some characters I read I didn’t know about apart from Finn and that was it I also couldn’t stand Becca as a character most of the time she annoyed me along with the senior counselors Sharon and Owen but apart from that I had a good time reading this and I can’t wait to read book two when it’s released! Well until next time we meet again,   xo SeekingBookWorm

Thornbird Book Review

I 'm back with another review and this one is for Thorn bird by E. Kennedy this is her first YA thriller and I must say that I really loved it. We meet a serial killers daughter called Gabrielle known as Ryan for her secret identity because of what her father Gabriel did so she went by that and she returned to her hometown ten years later after what happened but people started digging wanting to know who she really is so when a boy at Crockett High called Zed exposed Ryan at the Valentine's day dance at the gym that's when everyone knew that her name was Gabrielle and not Ryan due to what happened she kept making things a secret especially around Everett a boy she liked at first but due to her secret she started avoiding him and then another boy called Chase also fell in love with her. I really loved this book it was different and interesting I loved how Elle Kennedy managed to write a love triangle between our FMC and two boys she was in love with for someone who doesn...

In Case I Go Missing Book Review

We follow three best friends Fenny, Sam and Sarah they've been friends as long as Fenny can remember but over the years Sarah changed so when she went missing and left a file of stuff that she wanted them to do Fenny and Sam both decided they'll finish they case for her since Sarah ended up dead so the two duo worked together to see what they can do and Sam also didn't find this easy he struggled a lot emotionally along with Fenny too. let's go into my thoughts about this book shall we? I truly ATE this book up Swann has such a great way with words and I loved the small town mystery in the book I realise anything with a small town has became my favourite thing because it's not big or rowdy with people but you can truly capture everything especially the mystery without feeling all over the place I loved Fenny as well she was the sweetest not every choice she made agreed with her but the way she cared about Sam even missing up would show the reader these two duo had l...

Good Girl Gone Bad Book Review

This one we’re following the same character from the first book but Valencia ended up in a gang this takes on after what her father and one of her friends being involved in the incident of murdering the famous girl in the small town the sequel focuses more on a different side of things especially you get to meet Rock who was the MMC (Male Main Character) in book one but you get to hear his story from a deepe perspective of how he kind of loves Valencia but doesn’t know how to admit it we also get to see Leander McCandles a boy Valencia did really like and dated in book one their relationship ended and he was broken by it but eventually Val and Leander remarried friends not a couple anymore.. To speak about what I feel about this one is tough because I didn’t love it a lot like the first one maybe again due to a typo or something but I did adore Destin Val’s best friend I feel it would  fair if Kazmireski did a spin off based on him because that boy went through so much and he’s act...

Good Girl Dead Girl Book Review

In this series we meet Valencia Lamb who’s dad was known for killing one of the famous girls in their small town and ever since people know her as a serial killers daughter but Valencia hates being known as that so she decides to take on the case to find out what has happened and what her father motive behind everything was which she didn’t find it easy but when the tables turned things also exposed more then Valencia imagined it to be… I really loved this one it was fun and gripping away from little typos that were in the book at times it was still a good story Kazmierski knows how to bring YA characters to life and make the tone and everything sound appropriate for the audience the book is targeted for… Again until next time, xo SeekingBookWorm

It's For Your Own Good Book Review

This one we're following Liv (Aka Olivia) who gets kidnapped from her bed heading off to a camp for troubled teens called Camp Smiling Skies where she has to stay with some other campers Shasta and Milo, Ruby and Lucas, and Ben who she is with along with the senior counsellor Chipmunk and while they're in this camp things started going through after being there for some hours rumours were going through and deaths began to arise that Liv didn't know if she could cope with all this anymore and wanted away to escape but there wasn't so she has to bite the bullet and complete the challenge she was given... without saying too much since I know some don't want spoilers I'm going to say MAN this book was so good from start to the end I was questioning on so much throughout the book this one was different from Circle of Liars but in a camp setting was so much fun as someone I'm also writing a YA camp story myself this gave me a lot of cool ideas to add to my own aga...

Beware The Abbott Boys Book Review

this book were following three brothers Henry, Bram and Adam who are neighbours to our FMC (Main Female Character) Hayden the boys and Hayden have been friends and like found family since they're kids but when a death of a girl called Mariana who was Bram's girlfriend died people started making stories against the brothers due to that incident after what happened Sliver Creek High the school Hayden attends with the boys became a place that they almost couldn't attend due to the fact of everyone was pointing at the brothers for killing her and Hayden was closer with Henry so this was a distress for her because since her mother died the Abbotts have been like her own biological brothers to her without going too in-depth I'm going to speak my thoughts now. Ichaso has nailed in again like she always does with her YA thriller sometimes when I read them I'm like, "how does she make the story and characters so good that you EAT it up" anyway I even asked Chelse...

No One Saw A Thing Book Review

I'm sorry I have taken a long hiatus away from book blogging but I decided to make a comeback and this book was based on a mother and two daughters who went on a train and one stayed with her mother and once the train doors closed the other one was never seen again it became local news and police tried to get involved to find out what happened to this missing little girl on the train and people around the town also started posting the case on social media to support and let's say without spoiling too much now that I truly didn't love this one it was those books that lacked tension I almost felt bored at the time when I was reading this because I wanted more and sadly I feel Mara didn't give that for me and at the same time I didn't love the FMC (Female Main Character) who was the mother because she annoyed me throughout the book and the pacing was very slow so if you're not in the right space I wouldn't promise you to read this because of that but it did hav...

DNF Better Than The Movies Book Review

OMGGG this is so not my read I couldn’t stand Liz AT ALL like I don’t think me and her would get on because she’s just so annoying the only person I liked throughout was Wes I feel Liz wasn’t a character I enjoyed at all the amount of lies she spoke to her best friend and Stepmother was out of order and the times she kept rolling her eyes at everyone made me even madder I wanted to give this book a major chance but the more I read on the angrier I get I honestly couldn’t stand this book at all I didn’t find it funny or anything I totally wasn’t invested or interested! Page @238-239 DNF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for listening xo SeekingBookWorm

Not Like Other Girls Book Review

This book was so good I just finished it now and I don't have words to capture everything I'm still speechless from it all... we follow seventeen year of Jo Kirby who was a popular girl when her life got turned upside down and all the boys she was friends with hated her even girls like her own self can't stand her until Jo's ex best friend Maddie goes missing she wants to find out what happned to her and how she got to disappear Jo discovers secrets, pain and aches in her seeking even having a boyfriend called Hudson who stood by her side to help her solve what was going on and it all does a turn over from there. I really liked Jo as a character and I saw a lot of Pip from a good girl's guide to murder in her and the way she was firece and wild made me root for her throughout the book and I loved the relationship she had with Hudson and how I found them both adorable and all the only thing is that the themes were a little wild that I wouldn't recommend this fo...

The Nicest Girl Book Review

I finished this in one sitting and it was very raw and relatable story I’ve ever heard in a young adult I’m thankful for Jo for gifting me her wonderful debut because it really does make you feel a lot of things about being nice and everything in reality… The story takes place on a sixth former called Anna Campbell who’s known for being too nice Anna struggles with being nice because she’s generally a nice person which makes people take advantage of her that when she welcomes a new boy called Ryan into her friendship group in the end Ryan was mad because he sort of had feelings for her but Anna didn’t have that for him but after she spends time babysitting for a mother and her two sons Anna falls for the oldest boy Ben while she babysits his little brother Charlie I loved the relationship between Anna and Ben you can feel the love they had for each other I hope Sophie gets to expand more in the nicest girl characters in the next book for a debut I really adored this book so much ...

The Midnight Game Book Review

This book comes out the 5th of Jan 2023 (gifted by the author) This book is set around a school where six teens they never met go and meet on a form called Deddit and they decided to meet in real life which is followed by a game that everyone is dying to play but the thing is when you play this game you must finish it because there no way out or escape to end everything so can these six players battle their way out without any problems...? I'm nearly done with this book and Murphy has done it  again she never disappoints me everytime she writes I even loved this one more than the other books because you saw these characters battling through how to get out of this game and I also love the diabetic rep that Murphy added for Ellie because you don't see these type of issues in books so I think it's important that these reps are in books to make someone feel less alone, I can't wait to read the other books she writes next! xo SeekingBookWorm

The Fountains of Silence Book Review

This book felt like a movie WOW! How Sepetys captures her characters in this interesting historical setting story with power and pain with the reader feeling deeply emotions for these characters who are struggling. Set in 1957 in Madrid of Spain we meet eighteen year old Daniel whos family were in Texas America and went to Madrid around the civil ward going on and he captured what goes on around him he ends up falling in love with a girl called Ana who is basically his assistant who helps out his family and hotel room duties. Daniel then forms feelings for her and the two of them begin to get closer within themselves for a love What can I say Sepetys made me feel for her characters which made me sad and angry for what her characters go through for a YA debut of historical fiction I’ll definitely be picking up more of Sepetys work because she knows how to write! xo SeekingBookWorm

Room To Dream Book Review

Awww Mia Tang you’re so adorable honestly Mia is so cute I really loved the third one a lot I was scared it wasn’t going to live up the hype as the other two but it did in this one we learn Mia tries to live her dreams but things go wrong on the way and she makes it up to her friends they all go off to Disneyland some might be confused by this but I wasn’t because I got to know the books were not set in modern day that’s what makes them historical I feel Yang again has done it more than the other two how she talk about important topics always resonate to me because they make the readers understand that these things sadly happen today nothing has changed since this book was set by the 90’s and we still go through these situations today and yang is doing such a good job expressing these in a light and fun hearted way for kids to understand I can’t wait to read Mia and her friends in book four! xo SeekingBookWorm

Three Keys Book Review

I loved this book more than the first Mia is such a great Heroine and she really stood up for her friends I loved the friendship and love this book two had between her and Lupe I loved Lupe as a character she’s funny and kind which makes you feel the heartfelt  love for her and Mia is always doing her best to make everything okay things won’t always go to her plan but she never gives up in what she does I feel we all need a Mia Tang in our lives I wish I had Yang books growing up because they teach such important deep topics that I might be 26 but I’ll always cherish Mia and her friends also family and adventures punched together in great happiness to read about! xo SeekingBookWorm

DNF The Girl In The White Van Book Review

I DNF The Girl in The White Van basically this book focuses on a teenage girl Called Savanah who doesn't get on with her mother new boyfriend Tim but love taking Kung Fu Classes to escape what goes on about her and she gets caught by someone in a white van... Sadly what made me DNF this book Savanah herself as a character felt dull and forgotable for me I almost didn't see anything enjoyable about this book and I feel there's a lot of POV so you can't tell who is who and also I didn't even know that Savanah herself is blind until reading a review from Goodreads, I was disappointed because I wanted to read this one for so long thinking I would love it but it just wasn't for me... xo SeekingBookWorm
