How I Create My Characters?

Hello my fellow writers today I am going to talk about how I create my characters this idea was inspired by Lily If you want to know more her Instagram is @LilyAnnaWrites now let's get into this post!

Q: so first of all you might want to know how do I create my characters names?

A: basically I find names on baby name sites for my male characters I write more male characters than female because I feel there's something about writing boy characters that make my voice come out more, but everyone has a different taste of gender they write characters for.  most people weren't a fan of me writing boy characters but I'm not changing the gender I write for to make anyone happy, anyway okay enough ranting about that we're moving on now!

Q: the other you might want to know is how old are my characters generally?

A: at the moment my characters are high school teens going to school and learning about life also discovering themselves and I think teens are interesting and sometimes I like writing for them because I remember what being a teenager was like for me some characters I write I see as my best friend I wish I hanged out with not to feel less alone about certain things of life.

Q: A lot of people wondered how did you write your characters set in America and you have never actually been there?

A: Okay I wrote characters being in America and I've never been there a lot of the time the books I read in Young Adult do take place mostly in America, I'm now trying to read more books in YA being based in London or other places, I think that what I love about reading is that books take you to so many interesting places without moving your feet because in your imagination you can feel yourself being there.

Q: If your character was real what would you tell him as a life lesson to do better in their struggles?

A: I know I would told Tommy if he was real to be patient and take it easy, I know how much his mothers death hurt him and how he doesn't like Harriet because he goes insane when you mentioned it and Sarah accidentally made Tommy mad when she didn't mean anything bad, I would also tell Daniel to help his big brother even though Tommy can be mean sometimes brother love is better than anything right?

Q: At least last question then it's finish off from here? do you love your characters?

A: I can't Answer this question I wish but my characters are like my children, I can't pick a favorite it'll be very chaos for me and I know Tommy and Daniel would argue in my head about it so I rather not say.

Thank you all for listening I hope you all are having a good day!

The Idea Of Tommy & Daniel

Hello Everyone welcome back to another blog post! Today post is actually a special one since "The Step Love" turns one year today and I asked everyone what plans I should do and by the way I loved the answers from bookstagram but I decided maybe I talk about how Tommy and Daniel came to reality for me to talk about them all the time to you guys. I remember it was 2015 and I was sitting in my room thinking of what else to write then this boy appeared into my mind and I thought about it twice then I saw another boy came as his brother then that's where I saw a Tommy and his little brother Daniel, then I started to see a boy and a girl forming something together and that's how Sarah and Tommy came then other more people plus Harriet too and the ideas for making Tommy and Daniel are not really my strength or anything, I think God knew I was an author since I was writing The Little Bear Stories and I wrote The Last Day Of School Term in 2010 then I took a long hiatus...
